The acknowledged artist Cliff Weaver BEM painted these five figures with linked arms as part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the liberation of the Falkland Islands. They are representative of The Merchant Navy, The British Army, The Royal Navy, The Royal Marines and The Royal Air Force. The linking of the arms signifies the combined effort of all of the services, military and civil.
On either side of the picture is an image of The South Atlantic Medal.
